The Stage Door Theater was founded in Yukon, Oklahoma in 1987 and is located in the historic Yukon Museum and Arts Center. With each of the seasons productions, Stage Door tries to foster exposure to the world of live theater. This is a volunteer program providing a chance for beginning and inexperienced actors to grow and build a resume. More experienced actors also participate in the productions. There are opportunities to be involved in every aspect of the theater, including scenery, props, sound and lighting. By awarding two scholarships each year, Stage Door helps support a healthy community rich in culture and opportunity.
